A few weeks ago, my class partner, Sarah Butler, and I ventured to Our Next Generation, a local Milwaukee neighborhood center and tutoring program, to interview a tutor and her tutee. We used the photo and audio we gathered from the interviews to put together and two audio slideshows for the Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service. This is the final product of the first slideshow, focusing on tutor Sammie Lou Krieger. The accompanying slideshow will be posted in December.
Because this was not my first time doing an audio slideshow, I felt very comfortable photographing, recording, and editing the material. Our Next Generation was generous enough to provide us with a quiet room for our interview which made the audio editing process much easier. I am very pleased with our choice to cover Our Next Generation. It is a great organization making a difference in the lives of the tutors, tutees and community as a whole.
