This is what I have been waiting for – Super Tuesday. A special thank you to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for stepping up their game not disappointing for a third consecutive week. The Missouri newspaper did not just reproduce Associated Press content, but rather they mixed it with its own unique articles as well.
Despite Romney winning six primaries, compared to three for Santorum and one for Gingrich, there race is still not decided. One article reports that, "By night's end, Romney had padded his delegate lead. But his inability to make more significant strides toward the nomination assured that the GOP's protracted struggle will continue and held implications should Romney triumph in the end."
The overall idea of one aspect from the Post-Dispatch's coverage of Super Tuesday was very pleasing to me. Its execution, however....not so much. The Post-Dispatch featured a page where you could individually look at the results of each state primary and/or caucus and see how the votes were broken down, district by district. However, when doing so, the layout was very unappealing. Below is an example of the Ohio Primary results, including the overall winner and the first two districts. Compare that to the AP produced Super Tuesday results and tell me which one is more comprehensive. I think it's pretty clear.
